On most websites, this page would be a list of conditions or diagnoses. But we want to be clear.
We don’t treat conditions or diagnoses, we help people.
Most of the time the people we help have complaints that have perplexed other providers. They have pain that doesn’t behave in the way other providers expect. They don’t have significant findings on x-rays, MRIs, or CTs. And they’ve tried “everything.”
Their symptoms may temporarily decrease after injections, but then they come back. They may not be candidates for surgery.
They’ve probably tried chiropractic/acupuncture/physical therapy and/or massage.
The problem is that all of these interventions presume that pain is associated with a tissue injury of some kind – that inflammation or tissue damage is the problem.
But our clients have nervous systems that are generating pain signals for other reasons. Maybe it’s part of a stress response, an adaptive pain response, or hypersensitivity. The only way for the pain to resolve is for the nervous system to reset and the most efficient way to facilitate that is by speaking its language through the most highly innervated tissue in the body – the fascia.
